Summer's here!

Summer is definitely here... sunshine(hope it lasts!!!) and Wimbledon!!! This is my second summery card this week...again featuring sunglasses and ice cream! This one is for this week's challenge at Sweet Stampin', the theme is Summer Fun. The image, such a sweetie, is by Mo Manning, she's coloured with copics, cut out and mounted with sticky pads. I added a teeny bit of glossy accents to her funky fishy sunglasses and her ice lolly. The papers are Doodlebug, the 'sun' is made by hand.
We have a lovely prize this week, sponsored by Hobbycutz, so why not join  the fun? Just click here to hop on over to Sweet Stampin' where you can be amazed by my teamies' wonderful creations, and to add your link!

It's Bloomin' Fabulous today!!!

Good morning.... I'm just back from a fabulous 2 week break in Cornwall, the sun shone, the food was good (just wish I'd been a little more restrained!:) and we just relaxed - bliss!
I did miss my computer and crafting (but not too much!!!), there was no wifi in the cottage so all my posts over the past fortnight were scheduled... I was so impressed that it actually worked!!!
Anyways, I'm really happy not to be missing todays fabulous New Release at Ladybugs, it's Bloomin' Fabulous!
Here's my card using the gorgeous 'Bloomin Jug' digi.

and here's another view

it's a really simple design, I just paper pieced (still my fave technique at the moment!) the lovely image and added a bit of sparkle by shading slightly with glitter pens -not that it shows in the photos!
As always there are some amazing prizes up for grabs to celebrate this New Release! Just pop over to the Challenge Blog, leave a comment telling us which is your favourite, and why and you could be the lucky  winner of all 12 of the Bloomin' Fabulous digis!!!There are also five additional prizes of 2 images of your choice, so plenty of chances to win.
The digis are available now in the shop at just £1.75 each, just click here to see them all!

Our Challenge this fortnight is 'Anything Goes', you can use any image you like, although there is an extra chance to win a prize if you use a Ladybugs Crafts Ink image! Just click HERE to join the fun!!!
Thanks for visiting.
Have a Bloomin' Fabulous Day!

Paper piecing

Good morning. Thursday once more and time for my last project as GDT for the lovely Hanna and Friends. This fortnight the challenge is one of my favourites... paper piecing. I used a Sarah Kay stamp, it was a freebie with a magazine ages ago and it lends itself beautifully to this technique! The little girls' dresses, apron and hats are all paper pieced. The patchwork background is made from die cut hexagons of the same patterned paper.
I'd just like to thank the lovely ladies from Hanna and Friends for giving me the opportunity to design for them, it has been a real pleasure. Please  take the time to hop over and visit their lovely blog, you will enjoy looking at their beautiful creations and hopefully be inspired to join in with this fun challenge.
Have a lovely day.

Say it with Flowers

Happy Saturday! Hope yesterday passed without any misfortune for you all!
For our new challenge at Sweet Stampin' this week we would like to see your flowery creations.
My card is a bit different from my usual makes and I'm not sure if I like it... but I definitely enjoyed the process of making it! I love stamping and getting my fingers inky! The tag is distress inked in two colours, the image stamped with versamark and clear embossed, then inked again, with a darker shade, over the whole tag, then pressed with a hot iron ( between two sheets of baking paper) to remove clear embossing. I added a little texture paste some white Frantage and coarse glitter. The background paper is inked with the same colours and stamped with an Indigo Blu flourish. The flower is made using a Tim Holtz die. I told you I had fun!
Please take the time to pop over to Sweet Stampin', the Sweeties have created some fabulous cards to inspire you this week. We'd love to see what you create too.... everyone loves flowers!
Our lovely sponsor this week is the Ribbon Girl.
Have a great weekend

Stitch it!

Friday 13th! Hope no one is superstitious! Hope nothing goes wrong with this, my 5th-in-row-scheduled- post as I really loved making this card! It's for the new challenge at Delicious Doodles, the theme is 'Stitch it', can be real or fake stitches. I used the beautiful Butterfly Bliss image, she's  coloured  with copics, Teri's lovely images are such a pleasure to colour!

The large butterfly is a Marianne die, one of the first dies I ever bought and a favourite of mine.

I added a flourish and some rolled flowers. The stitching is real....very unusual for me... and as you can probably tell from the wobbly bits... it's done by hand.
Thank you for looking, hope you'll choose to join us this week.

Flower Power!

Good morning, here's my card for the new challenge at Southern Girls. The theme this time is to use your die cuts and or punches. We have two fabulous sponsors Marianne Design and The Paper Shelter. I was given this stamp to play with, Hippie Chic, isn't she gorgeous!? I coloured her with copics, cut her out and mounted her onto the large flower which is made from lots of die cut circles. The rest of the flowers are made with various punches, to which I've added a little doodling!

Please pop over to visit the Challenge Blog to view my teamies lovely creations. We'd love to see what you create with your punches and dies too!

Bottoms up!! It's time for the new challenge at Ladybugs Crafts Ink. This fortnight the theme has been chosen by Tams, and her choice is 'Fathers Day' (or for a male). The Ladybugs are all showcasing this handsome hunk - aptly named Beer Belly Man!
I chose to make a birthday card for my brother, somehow he immediately sprang to mind when I saw this image, can't think why!!!
Thanks for visiting, please click here to view the beautiful creations the Ladybugs have made to inspire you, and to add your entries... you can use any image to join  in but  remember there is an extra prize on offer for a lucky someone using a LCI image!

Hanna and Friends...gift packaging

Good morning, my crafty friends. There's a new challenge starting today at Hanna and Friends, this fortnight we'd like to see some gift packaging. For my GDT project I made this simple little box  from a piece of kraft card. The papers are LOTV, the cute bear is a Whipper Snapper stamp, coloured with copics. I added some ribbon and pearl trim and a little tag. Thanks for looking!
