Ribbons and bows

Good morning, a bit earlier today with my DT card for Sweet Stampin'! This weeks challenge is 'Ribbons and Bows' sponsored by The Ribbon Girl.  I used a lovely Mo Manning image, which I coloured with copics and fussy cut (the handbag straps were challenging....!) she's mounted onto a die cut and embossed circle of cardstock. The background is made up of strips of ribbon, a punched border topped with a ribbon bow and a stamped sentiment. Thanks for visiting, don't forget to pop over to Sweet Stampin' to admire the lovely creations of the rest of Team Fi!

I'm a little bit late...

....with this post. Just back from holiday today, arrived home about 3 hours ago and had to get some shopping first as OH and Mathilda really get grumpy about no food.... :) We had the most fantastic week in Dorset, such glorious weather we couldn't believe our luck!
Anyway back to my card. This week s challenge at Delicious Doodles is 'Tag it', you can make a tag or add a tag to your creation. I made a tag shaped card using one of Teri's newer images Tall ship and banner which you can find here. This is such a fabulous image...would make a fantastic pirate ship!I simply printed it in blue and die cut it, then mounted on a die cut circle, added some twine a metal button, brad and fancy paperclip (which was silver so I coloured it with a copic marker).
We'd love it if you 'tag along' with us this week! Just click here to see the rest of the team's fabulous makes and to add your own creation.
Can't keep my eyes open any longer, so I'm off for a lovely bath and an early night!
Have a fab weekend

Shoes, shoes and more shoes!

Just a quick reminder that the very last challenge at Ladybugs Crafts Ink  is still going strong, and that the BIG SALE is still on.... cling stamps are just £1 each....you don't want to miss out!
The challenge is to use your favourite stamp, so I thought I'd show some of the cards I blogged earlier :) using some of my favourite LCI digis,  Killer Heels. I have a particular soft spot for these fabulous images having been lucky enough to win the whole set on the New Release bloghop...long before I was a Ladybug! They lend themselves to such glam and girly makes and I've used them loads of times.
Thanks for visiting and I really hope you'll find the time to join in with your own favourite stamp!

Great Outdoors.

Well hellooo again! My fourth post this week...very unusual for me! This time I'm sharing my DT card for Sweet Stampin'. The theme of the challenge is 'The Great Outdoors', so lots of scope there! I decided to have a play with my lovely Lavinia stamps, and made a little scene by stamping the bridge, then masking it and swiping distress inks to colour the sky and grass. I then used distress inks and a brush to colour the bridge and stream. The two little fairies in the foreground, and the branch (not Lavinia) were stamped on top. I stamped the wings again on acetate, covered them in stickles and attached them to the fairies. The frame was made by die cutting a circle from a piece of black cardstock and sticking 2 corner die cuts on top (sorry, doesn't show up too well in the photo!) and that's about it! No copics or paper piecing (unless you count the wings...!)
There's a fabulous prize on offer this week from Stamp and Create, so hop on over here and join the fun!!!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Autumn is just around the corner...

Good morning, I'd like to think that we still have some summer days left to enjoy, but I have to admit it's starting to feel quite autumnal here and although I don't like to think of cold weather and winter I do enjoy the glorious shades of Autumn, so this weeks challenge at Delicious Doodles was a real pleasure to design for! The theme is 'Colours of Autumn' and I made my card using the beautiful
Rowena, available here.

She's coloured with copics, just a tiny bit of glossy accents added to the berries. The frame is a piece of colour-core cardstock embossed and sanded to show the green core, a piece of DP from stash, a stamped sentiment, a scrap orange fibre-y stuff, skeleton leaves, a wooden laser cut leaf spray from Hobbycutz, a brad and a piece of twine. The red dots are punched from cardstock and covered with glossy accents to make them shine.
Why not hop across to Delicious Doodles Challenges and feast your eyes on the inspiration from my teamies, there's a lot to admire this week! If you're tempted to join us you'll be pleased to know that the challenge is back to weekly and that you can use any image to join in, it doesn't have to be from Delicious Doodles, although we love it when it is! It's also well worth a visit to Delicious Doodles Store to see what the very talented Teri has added over the summer!
Thanks for visiting.
Have a great day!

Silly Snowman!

Good morning lovely bloggers! There's a new challenge starting today at Southern Girls and here's my DT card. The theme is Winter Blues, sponsored by Marianne Design and Ladybugs Crafts Ink. The image I used, one of the Silly Snowmen range, is called All Lit Up and available here for just £1.75, this cutie has lots of equally cute brothers so it's well worth paying him a visit before the shop closes and they're lost forever :(.
I love working with these Ladybugs images, they really come to life when coloured up! I used copics to colour the snowman, trees and lights, added some 'snow' and a touch of white frantage. The card  is a 'joy fold', the first time I've tried this design, I quite like it!

Hope you like it too!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll be inspired to join the fun at Southern Girls this challenge, it's well worth your time to hop over here and check out my teamies' fabulous creations!

Grand Finale!!!

Here's a post I haven't been looking forward to writing...the lovely Ladybugs Crafts Ink Challenge Blog  is closing down, yes, this is the very Final Challenge - our Grand Finale!!
The challenge theme is 'Use your favourite stamp' you don't have to use a Ladybugs Crafts Ink image, but of course we love it if you do!!
I found it very difficult to choose a favourite as there are so many of these gorgeous images but in the end I settled on Kera, one of the Skinny Malinkys as these were the first images I used when guest designing for Ladybugs. I love Kera she's so classy and elegant, just like me (I wish!!!) and she's available here for just £1.75!

Kera is coloured with copics, I made a side step card,  added some die cuts, a stamped tag, ribbon and a few brads.
Here's a closer look at Kera.
Now for the good news.... there is a Closing Down Sale with some amazing bargains to be grabbed, just click here to start shopping! Fabulous cling stamps for just £1 each....you can't even buy a digi stamp for that price!!!
You really don't want to miss  visiting the  Challenge Blog to see the amazing creations from the rest of the DT, past DT members GDT and guests....so many talented ladies! So click here to join the fun. We would be delighted to have you join us for our last challenge!
There are two prizes to be won, one for the challenge and one for using an LCI image.
Have a lovely day!
