Totally in love...

Good morning, well here we are on the last day of August...and a pretty good August it's been  -here in the SE of England anyway! Not many wet days at all and loads of lovely sunshine, but now autumn is just around the corner...then Christmas will be upon us before we know it!
The optional theme for this fortnight at Creative Moments is Weddings / Anniversaries, once again we have some wonderful sponsors offering lovely digi stamps as prizes, LacysunshineMy stitch back in twine, and QKR Stampede.
To make the above card I used this adorable image of two loved up snails courtesy of QKR Stampede, I love the besotted look on their faces! I coloured them with copics and paper pieced and crackle glazed their shells. The watering can and grass template is from Sandra's Scrapshop. I added some diecut butterflies, insect border and fence a couple of daisies, and a tiny stamped tag  tied on
with twine.

I also made an art journal page using 3 lovely images created by the amazingly talented Kristyn one of the Creative Moments DT. As you can see these images have an Oz theme, there are loads more available here.
Thanks for visiting today, hope you enjoy the last day of August!

Be you

Afternoon lovlies. Another card inspired by the current challenge (just about still current!) at The East Wind. This idea came to me whilst making my previous card, didn't think I'd be able  to make it in time but just scraped in by the skin of my teeth. Her hair, eyes and dress are all paper pieced. I love this image and how the card turned out!
Thanks for looking!

Attitude

Good evening, a quick post from me to share a card I made inspired by the current challenge at The East Wind, the theme this time is paper piecing, one of my favourites, so how could I resist?! I used this sweet TEW image which I was lucky enough to win a while ago. I used copics to colour and paper pieced her clothing.
I think this makes a great card for a teenage girl!

Thanks for stopping by, have a lovely evening.

Back to school!

Good morning, our new challenge starting today today at Sweet Stampin' has the theme 'back to school' so I decided to make something my granddaughter could use when the new term starts. As both of the older girls love post it notes I made a little folder to hold them. Here's the one I made for Ruby, the younger child. She loves pink...and unicorns...and sparkle!

I made one for Olivia too...have to treat them both the same, I'll show that one later on!
There is a lovely prize for this challenge from our fabulous sponsor this week
Why not pop over now (click here) to see what my teamies have made, you will see how 'great minds think alike' - and what must be the most popular 'back to school ' stamp this year :)
Have a lovely weekend

Small Princess

Good morning, and a lovely sunny one it is too! Today's card is my DT make for our new challenge at Southern Girls - anything goes this fortnight! Our sponsor this time is the fabulous  Ppinkydolls , I chose to use this little sweetie Small Princess as I have 3 small princesses of my own! Image coloured with copics, the frame is diecut from chipboard and red DP, then embossed , the 'princess' and crown are part of a larger diecut, I just used the part I wanted. I added a die cut heart, some daisies and a scrap of lace to finish.
We'd love for you to play along this fortnight and as the theme is anything goes there's really no excuse not to join in! So why not pop over to the Challenge Blog now for further inspiration from my lovely teamies!
Have a great day

Butterfly mask

Good afternoon, having a quiet day today after a day out with my gorgeous granddaughters yesterday. We took them to Dreamland,  a retro style amusement park in Margate - they loved it. We had a great time too- reminiscing over what the park was like when we were kids - and the girls were as good as gold!
I made a card inspired by the current challenge at Aurora Wings, the theme is 'Theatrical'. I printed the image out with a deep purple instead of a white background,  used copics for colouring, then coloured over the  mask with a gold sparkle pen. I printed the mask again, cut it out and curved it slightly before attaching it over the original to add some dimension.
I then played with the  background paper, I used gold ink to stamp the lace in the bottom right corner ( I love this lace stamp!) and some gold leaves in the bottom left corner (hidden by the flowers). I used a diamond patterned stencil and texture paste (top right corner), colouring the paste when dry by lightly skimming over it with the gold ink pad. The edges are distressed and embossed with gold EP and then I sprinkled shabby green frantage around quite liberally! The red flowers are handmade using Heartfelt Creations vintage floret die...they're not actually as dark as they look here and match the flowers on the image quite closely! The doily is embossed with gold EP too.  Loads of messy fun!
Thanks for visiting, have a lovely afternoon!

Christmas at Sweet Stampin' - Snow People

Good morning! A Christmas card today, my DT make for the August Challenge over at CaSS. The theme for this is 'Snow People' and we're sponsored by Robyn's Fetish. The DT were given some cute digis to use... I chose this cheery snowman, he's available  here. I coloured the image with copics and added some white frantage for snow...managed not to burn the paper with my heat tool this time!!! :) The papers are from Docrafts, a real bargain at a craft show I went to a couple of weeks ago.
I'm feeling quite pleased as my little stack of Christmas cards is slowly growing...hopefully, this year, I won't be frantically trying to make them in December when I have far to many other things to do!
Why not dig out your Christmas stash and join us this month...it'll be one less card you need to make when that busy time descends upon us! Just click here to visit the Challenge Blog and enjoy the beautiful creations from the rest of the team...and to add your own lovely snowperson!

Shine

Hi, start of a new week, hope everyone had a great weekend. Weather's been good here so I spent a lot of time in the garden, enjoying the sunshine! I did have a bit of a play though, colouring in this beauty, Marilyn,  this month's lovely freebie from The East Wind. I decided to make her a redhead instead of a blond but kept her dress white (it's very shimmery IRL -I used wink of Stella which doesn't show in the photo), then fussy cut the image an d mounted onto a glittering black star, die cut more stars from glitter paper and mounted the whole lot on a black circle-step card base. I added a few tiny gems for even more sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Summer Fun at Crafty Calendar

I'm back again already with another DT card. This time the challenge over at Crafty Calendar, sponsored by Bugaboo (did you know they have a 50% sale until 8th?) the theme is 'summer fun'.
Well this card is definitely a bit more colourful than the last one! I paper pieced the clothing on  my cute image -(courtesy of Bugaboo- thank you) and coloured the rest with copics. The papers are from a 6x6 pad (MME- Playdate), I cut the sentiment from the papers too. Some die cut clouds and a flower to finish.
There's loads more inspiration from my lovely teamies here, we'd love to see what you make of this challenge too, so come along and join the fun!
Have a great weekend

Happy Saturday! My first card today is for our new challenge at Sweet Stampin', our theme is Black, white + 1 other colour and this week we're sponsored by Bunny Zoe.
I kept my card fairly CAS, stamping and embossing my image onto black cardstock, and matting it onto white and black layers, then stamping the sentiment and flying seeds onto the white background.  Quick and simple but I kinda like it!
There's some fabulous makes from my teamies to be seen by clicking here, I was so surprised to see that we all picked a different colour...it honestly wasn't planned! What colour will you choose?

by the light of the moon

Good evening my lovely blogger friends, I'm sitting here bathed in a virtuous glow...not from the light of the moon but because today I cleaned the oven!!! My most hated task of all time! I even have a pyrolitic oven that does most of the work itself...but I still hate it! My oven is glowing too now...I'm not going to cook anything in it for as long as possible!
After all that effort (!) it was time to reward myself with a little play time... I dug out my art journal and made this page. The window frame is printed from google and cut out the sky and moon distress ink and masking...I smudged the lines with my finger (actually on purpose) and if you look hard you can see some tiny 'stars' made with a white gel pen. The background is black acrylic paint with a few scattered stars, some stamped some stencilled using a texture paste. The words are stencilled using a white gel pen. The pretty girl is a digistamp from The East Wind, available here, I coloured her with copics hoping to make her look as if she's standing in a moonbeam....a bit beyond my skills!
Anyway, I had fun....and I now have interesting blue hands!
Thanks for visiting, hope you've had a fun and productive day....just off to admire my sparkling oven!

Cat on a bike!

Good morning, let's hope today proves better than yesterday weatherwise! Cold, wet and miserable all day...had to wear a sweater! No sitting in the garden either! Ah, well I suppose the garden did need the rain.
My card today is for our new challenge at Creative Moments, sponsored this fortnight by SLSLinesDigistamps4joy and Decosses Dynamite Doodles. The optional theme is circles. I was given this fabulous image from SLS Lines - available here. I think he has real cattitude...and I love the mouse! I printed the image 3 times, coloured with copics then cut them into ever decreasing circles, which i then mounted on top of each other. I added a couple of die cuts and a stamped sentiment...and that's about it! I think it makes a great card for a male...they all seem to love wheels!
Thanks for calling by ...hope you have a lovely day, preferably with some sunshine!
